County and District Leaders Gather in Sacramento for Arts Symposium

On November 17, 2009, 51 county and district leaders gathered in Sacramento for the Arts Integration Symposium sponsored by CCSESA Arts Initiative. The training, led by national arts consultant Deb Brzoska from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, provided foundational research and content supoprting how the arts can be integrated into the curriculum to deepen and expand learning for students. Each participant received a training manual and a flash drive of materials, videos, and a PowerPoint file to be used in subsequent professional development offerings.
